Hey Girls,
I recently attended my very first own Makeup Brand Event! I am glad I did and truly blessed to see one of my favourite brand celebrating their 10 Decade Birthday Bash! You heard that right, a 100 years! Who knew that Maybelline started a 100 years ago, accidentally by founder Tom Lyle Williams noticing his sister Mabel applying a mixture of Vaseline and coal dust to her eyelashes. The rest is history and we all know it! :)
The celebration took place worldwide, and Malaysia joins 129 other countries in the celebration of Maybelline New York's 100th Anniversary. The birthday bash took place on 15th May 2015 in Centre Court Midvalley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur. The event was attended by a row of local celebrities, fashion and beauty editors and 100 winners of the #MyMaybelline100 contest organised through instagram, and ofcourse fans all over Malaysia who came to witness the event. The birthday bash treated the attendees with an unique runway show feauturing 10 decade of 10 iconic looks to mark the occasion. Upon registering, we were greeted by this two lovely ladies handing out the most adorable and yummy lollipop sugar cookies!

The theme was of dressing of favourite era from the 10 decades look or to just dress in something glitzy! So, i choosed to dress up for the era 1950's named Bombshell Glamour. ;)
The event was leaded by Emcee, Serena C. The 10 iconic looks
were created by Steven Sunny, one of Malaysia’s Top Make Up Artist! The best
was for the last where Steven Sunny created a dress out of Maybelline’s
products! How incredible is that! It was definitely the show stopper of the
day! With the 100th Special Edition Look, Steven Sunny, then picked
a winner from the #MyMaybelline100 Look Contest I was talking about earlier. He
recreated the look and so it was called the “Golden Goddess”. This look emphasizes
more on the future look giving it a more Asian feel.

It was
a suspense on who’s look won, until they announced the winner on stage :) After that, they had a mini photography session and party was dismissed after that.
And, that was the end of the Birthday Bash! The party was so close to the
heart, because I personally grew up using Maybelline products! I am glad I got
I attended the event.
